Professional Development Course for Supplementary School Staff

The Madrassa is one of the most important milestones of Islamic education. This teacher training course explores the basic principles of teaching and Islamic tradition and seeks to empower Muslim educators and deepen their appreciation of Madrassas.

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand the importance of policies and procedures around safeguarding within the Madrassa school context;
  • Be able to provide a safe, supportive and positive environment for students;
  • Understand and provide the different Special Educational Needs (SEN) and implement the teaching methods;
  • Develop and strengthen the relationships between students, teachers and parents;

At the end of the training, participants will receive a completion certificate. SFI recommends attending the course annually to maintain your knowledge and professional development.

The course is delivered by Dawood Masood, who has served at Al-Hira Cultural and Educational Centre, Luton since 2011 as the Head of Educational and Youth Services and an Islamic Studies teacher.
